Inertia Game Studios is an indie studio based near Cambridge in the UK established in 2003. We develop casual and social games across mobile and desktop platforms.
We are currently planning several projects, including Facebook and mobile games and we would like to build up contacts with awesome 2D artists who we can trust to work on these projects on a freelance basis. There is also the possibility of a full-time position down the line.
Although we do currently have several artists in-house, we are missing someone who can do very strong, clean design work. Someone who can create an awesome game icon or game logo/title, but who can also create a character with cartoonish charm. Someone who can work with vectors or in photoshop when appropriate.
The best example I can give you is the game "Farm Heroes Saga" by King- that's what we want to be aiming for. If you think you can emulate that style, in terms of UI design, character design etc... then please get in contact and show us your portfolio!

We're willing to work on an hourly rate basis (we can discuss rates based on your skills) and this will definitely lead to a lot more work in the future.
